U.S. economic growth continues to surprise to the upside and the consensus expectation for full-year 2024 growth is now over 2%. During the March Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Fed also raised its expectations for growth this year from 1.4% to 2.1%. Inflation has also been surprising to the upside.
